Oropendula (Psarocolius decumanus)  Nest

These amazing birds build elaborate hanging nest in trees, they use vines to weave the pendulous basket, which may measure up to 2 metres long. Oropendula birds live in colonies, some of which can contain 100 nests hanging from the branches of a single tree. Only the female builds the long nest, males guard the colonies by day but roost separately at night. This species are found from Panama to Argentina
